As part of its efforts to increase the capacity of foreigners working in Haiti, either in the short or long term, or working as part of a government, NGO, or a religious group, the CREOLE INSTITUTE provides intensive orientation for new-comers to Haiti. Orientations are dialogue based and interactive, and cover diverse content which includes:
-An overview of Haitian history
-Haiti Before and After the Earthquake
-Language, Culture, Do's and Don'ts
-Context analysis and Current Events
-Understanding Culture Shock and Best Practices
-Guidelines for Safety
-Art gallery & Museum visits and Excursion
Our facilitators equip visitors to communicate effectively in the Haitian environment, and to adopt best practices for intercultural work and/or travel experiences.
The length of orientation is flexible depending on the length of stay, and one of our facilitators could best advice on what content would be more appropriate, depending on the objectives for your group. Ideal group size is between 8-25 people.
